The Movement of Men against AIDS in Kenya (MMAAK) is a Non Governmental Organization supporting men infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in Kenya. MMAAK was established in 2001 after the declaration of HIV and AIDS as a national disaster in Kenya and in response to gaps within the Kenya government National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan. The strategic plan was deficient in strategies related to integrating and enhancing male involvement in the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
MMAAK is the only key organisation in Kenya that is specifically targeting men, as beneficiaries, making them acknowledge their challenges, getting their commitment by making them assume responsibilities and crusaders of men in the fight against HIV and AIDS..
