The movement of men against AIDS in Kenya partnered with Catholic Agencies for Overseas Development {CAFOD} in April 2006.
This was a scaling up initiative to reach out to a larger population and to strengthen the ongoing activities in a bid to provide quality and timely support to those infected and affected with the HIV and AIDS in Karatina, Inoi, Konyu, and Kerugoya.  Read more about CAFOD involvement with MMAAK


Having realized the need for male involvement from the grass root level,MMAAK has been in partnership with Concern Kenya to increase male involvement at the community level.MMAAK has been involve in community mobilization in Kisumu and its environs  targeting  men both in and out of school,Matatu drivers and touts,fishermen,Boda boda riders , Commercial widow inheritors and the church sensitizing them on their role in slowing down the rates of new HIV infections. AMREF/MAANISHA provided both financial and technical support to MMAAK
The technical support provided by AMREF/MAANISHA was relevant in that Project officers and project accountant were able to gain knowledge on project implementation,financial reporting and the need to meet reporting deadlines. Read more about AMREF/MAANISHA involvement with MMAAK

GSK Positive Action
The Movement of Men against AIDS in Kenya (MMAAK) managed to initiate and launch its activities in Kenya in 2003 with support from Positive ACTION, Community Partnership programme. This was a welcome, since with the support provided to MMAAK. The organisation established itself and had the ability to grow and even expand to other provinces where Men equally needed support within the five provinces in Kenya. The Provinces included Nairobi, Nyanza, Central, North Rift and Coast.   Read more about GSK Positive Action
